Ready, Set, OctoberQuest at TGIFF!

This month marks the one year anniversary of TGIFF!, a fun CanAussie venture by Laura of Quokka Quilts and me. To mark this auspicious occasion (yes, I'm going to whip out my $10 words today), we've got a new look and new buttons courtesy of the fabulous Em from Sewing by Moonlight. Thanks very much, Em!

In honour of this milestone and, more importantly, you fine people who link up, we are celebrating with OctoberQuest -- a month of quilting debauchery.

Your quest, should you choose to accept it is to finish up those quilty projects, whether it's for the upcoming Bloggers Quilt Festival, the 100 Day Hustle, Finish-A-Long, Halloween, Thanksgiving or even, gasp, Christmas (just think how Super Quilter-ish you'd feel if you were done some of your Christmas gifts before November even started). Or finish up those WIPs, UFOs, charity quilts, or um, overdue gifts -- you decide!

To get your quilting mojo going, we've got some incentives for you. Pam from Mad About Patchwork is giving a $50 gift certificate to two lucky participants! And there's something for everyone too -- Pam's offering 10% off purchases for the month of October to all OctoberQuest participants -- just use TGIFF10 at checkout. Sweet, eh?!

So here's how OctoberQuest works:
  1. Your quilty project must be completely finished (As much as we love celebrating quilt tops or completed blocks, they will not be eligible for the prizes).
  2. You may enter more than one finish and even more than one finish each week. Just add a link for each finish to one of the linky parties. The linky parties will stay open from their start date until the end of the month.
  3. Your post/photo on Flickr/Picasa must have a link back to the TGIFF! site and the particular party you are participating in.
  4. Link up your quilty finish in any of the TGIFF! linky parties this month:
  5. OctoberQuest will be open until October 31st at 11:59 p.m. EST. A winner will be picked via Ms. Random Number Generator on November 1st and notified via email. Please make sure we can contact you via email or we will need to run Ms. Random again.
So put down those beer steins, forget OctoberFest, and start polishing off those projects to share at OctoberQuest, starting this Friday at Better Off Thread.

  3. This IS great incentive. However, first I must stop watching your video of I Wanna Be Canadian Please. Seriously...

    1. Cindy, I think you (not so) secretly wish you were Canadian. I'd be happy to christen you an honourary Canadian but you have to change the spelling if your blog name. ;)

    2. That video rocks! I actually DO wish I were Canadian! I Wanted to move to TO after grad school, but I didn't feel like dealing with immigration. Can't wait for Octoberquest!

  5. I was all excited to link up my quilt top finish today too! LOL Well thankfully this is for the 100 quilts for kids, so I need to get it done by next week. And after that one is done... who knows maybe there will still be time left in October to finish my Solid Love finally. I've only been working on it for a year now.
