I've had a
bucket list for almost as long as I've had this blog. I revisit it every year or so and update it. When I started seeing the
My Quilty Bucket List posts popping up in the blogosphere and leading back to a fun linky with Stacey at
The Tilted Quilt, I thought it was a good time to have another look-see.
My bucket list used to have 30 items on it. I've narrowed it down to less than 20 now. Woo hoo! I've made a few of them, like

Mostly though, I just culled the ones that I thought I "should" make and kept the ones that I "really want to make".
- Kingston Quilt - This is a block of the month quilt from oh, a long time ago. I still love the pattern and have finished the first block. It's a very, very detailed quilt.

- Hexie pixel quilt - similar in idea to this one, but with hexies!
- Ruth McDowell-style forest scene
- Value and colour circle
- Black wholecloth quilted in colour - similar to Emma's from Sampaquita's Quilts
- Seasonal wallhangings (Easter, Spring, Summer, Winter, Christmas still to do)
- Group of Seven-style quilt
- New Zealand quilt
- Haida-style quilt
- Northern lights quilt
- Children's portraits/fingerprints
- Christmas tree quilt
- Tulip quilt - a larger and more involved version of this one I made for my purple Colour My World challenge. It uses a collage technique I learned from Elaine Quehl. Love it!
- Feng shui
- European townhouse/village quilt
- Tokyo Subway Map by Oh, Fransson!
- Family Portrait à la Marjolein Bastiaans
- Let's Be Frank About the Seasons (series)
- Snowball quilt

You've got quite the list there! I really like your Canada Day wall hanging and that City Hall is very impressive.

ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about quilts you feel like you should make and ones that your REALLY want to make. You have an inspiring list. I really like the idea of a hexie pixel quilt. THAT would be awesome!
Your Canada quilt is absolutely beautiful, I love the background of triangles and that gorgeous edge! Future bucket list quilts from you will certainly be ones to look out for if that quilt (and the tulip!) is any indication.
