Modern Block Monday - Boxed In

This week's block is Boxed In by Faith Jones. This one was quick, which was good because I'm nursing a back injury that has flattened me. I kept the colour combos the same as Faith used in her block, but used solids for mine. I have to say that I prefer her block to mine. I think that this will still work well in my quilt, but I'm just not feeling the love for this block as I did for the others. Mind you that could be the Percocet talking. ;)

Completed Modern Blocks to date:
I'm going to take another brief detour from the book for next week's block. Have you seen the Scrappy Asterisk block by Michelle of City House Studio? I think doing it in solids on a black background will look fabulous so I'm going to give it a try.

  8. I am really enjoying your modern blocks and personally, I love your Boxed In block and colour choices though I can't remember what fabrics were used for the original, it doesn't matter. ;)
