A Vote and a Free Online Quilt Conference

This week's theme contest over at the Quilting Gallery is Scrappy Triangle Quilts. I entered Don't Worry, Be Scrappy! If you haven't voted yet, and like my quilt, I wouldn't mind one of your votes (you get to pick five this week). Thanks!

The other thing I wanted to tell you about is the Inspired to Quilt Expo. It's an online quilt conference that started on Wednesday and goes until this Sunday. How fun is that? All the benefits of hearing and seeing some of the top quilt teachers, like Lyric Kinard, from around the world, from the comfort of your couch (or as in my case, my bed). And it's free! I believe this is the first time somebody's attempted something like this so there have been some technical glitches and some of the video quality is not great, but the teachers are top notch and you can still hear and understand everything. Like any good quilt show, they also have vendor booths. And did I mention it's free? You do need to register though.

How cool would it be if they could do this for the Sewing Summit or the Houston Quilt Show? Ah, a woman can dream!

Hope you have a great weekend!

  1. Okay, I don't know what the issue was but I tried to comment earlier and it wouldn't let me! I voted and I blogged about it as well. Hopefully it will at least get a bit more traffic over there!
