Shouldna Done That!

That's pretty much what my wrist said screamed at me after my last post so that's why you haven't seen much of me since then. I've mostly been hanging out on Craftsy, taking Angela Walters free motion quilting class (Awesiome!) and checking out the FREE QuiltCon lectures (Fabulous)! I'm not sure exactly how yet, but I'm going to QuiltCon in 2015...ooorrr...maybe we need to do a QuiltCon Canada?

The wrist is feeling really good again so I started quilting a little over the weekend and finished two of the Something New Sampler blocks.

Cathedral Windows from this excellent tutorial. I was mid-way through this block before I broke my wrist and worked on this for a few minutes every few days since. Fussy, fussy, but I love the effect:

Improv Curves from this fabulous tutorial. Not so smooth, but it'll do:

I also thought I'd share the two extra Sashiko blocks I made before I broke my wrist. Very happy with these!

Now I just have one block left to go in this fun sampler -- machine appliqué -- and, unfortunately, it is not going well right now. This one may have to wait until the cast comes off. :(
