Work in Progress Wednesday - January 4, 2012

Ah, the first WIP post of the new year. I'm feeling all organized and focused with my 2012 goals. My WIPs are going down...in number. Well, not just yet. But this year...for sure!

It's finally feeling like winter now here. Minus 19 degrees Celsius with a windchill of minus 26. The backyard ice rink is ready and the kids had their first skate this morning. Of course, I wasn't organized with the skating stuff so by the time I got the third child ready to go out, the first child wanted back in. Yay for velcro fasteners and Softec skates! For those of you in the southern hemisphere with your beach weather, I know it will be hard, but try not to be jealous. ;)

New Projects:
Modern Block Monday Sampler - Finished the first block on Monday. And the 1/4" seams weren't too bad! Yay! The next block is It's a Stretch and I'm so looking forward to finally making this one!

Here's my take on Pinball Machine:

Completed Projects:
Scarves, pillowcases and mug rugs for the holidays:

Current Projects:
Micah's Growth Chart - The top is done, sandwiched and it's pillowcase bound. I'm so thrilled with this one so far. Now I just have to get over the fear of wrecking it and start free motion quilting it. Gulp!

Clockwork Orange - Quilting started and progressing well! Nothing interesting to show yet.
Stained Glass Lillies - No progress.
Red and Tan Amish Wedding Ring
Tangled Garden
Spiral/Spring seta colour

UFOs that may one day get finished, but really who knows?
Chop Suey
Wedding quilt
Linus quilt
Nine patch colourwash

WIP Wednesday Recap:

  4. Cool growth chart! And I am actually jealous of your weather. We currently have between 6 and 10 degrees Celsius every day and lots of rain, it does not feel like winter at all...
