I was thrilled to learn on Monday that I won Pam from Mad About Patchwork's Flea Market Fancy giveaway. As much as I love solids, I had been thinking lately that I need a bit more pattern in my life. I'm so excited to play with this fabric line. Thank you so much, Pam! And how good are Pam and Canada Post? The bundle arrived yesterday!
Just a reminder that my blogiversary giveaways are open until June 17th and you can enter on this post.
New Projects: None
Completed Projects:
Playing With Leaves (10BX Leaves) - Did some surgery on it and worked like crazy to finish this off for last week's TGIFF! Much happier with it now. It got a plug by Alex Veronelli on Facebook -- woo hoo! Thanks, Alex!
Hudson's Bay Point Blanket Quilt - Picked up the rest of the fabric I needed so I'll be working on the back soon. I'd like to finish this one soon and use it to replace our duvet for the summer.
Modern Block Monday Sampler - This week was Follow the Leader by Sherri McConnell. I love the lime with the purple, but I'm thinking that I should have stuck with the darker purples.

Love all of your pieces...and your quilt should have won!!! I loved it. But I know there were so many wonderful quilts entered. Hard to pick just one.
ReplyDeleteI had to go back a few posts to read in more detail how and where and when the leaf project developed. It sounds like a very interesting piece to put together and interesting how you finally were pleased at how it came out. I love how things "go".
ReplyDeleteI just love your Playing with Leaves. I also love, love, love how you have organized your post about your projects...I'm a little afraid of counting my UFOs...;)
ReplyDeleteOooh, I really like your Twelve Trees blocks! Such an awesome idea!
ReplyDeleteI agree, Pam is awesome! I'm always amazed at how quickly her packages get to me! Love the trees and the follow the leader block is amazing!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on winning the Flea Market Fancy bundle from Pam!!!! I was so excited when I found out you won! Can't wait to see what you make with those yummy fabrics! Your tree blocks are great too!
ReplyDeleteHave fun with your new fabrics.
ReplyDeleteThat block with the black background is stunning:-)
ReplyDeleteNice job on the win! It's a good feeling to get a package in the mail. I LOVE your twelve trees blocks and I can't wait to see them all together!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the FMF win! Loving your tree blocks. And your modern block. How many blocks have you done so far for the sampler? How many remain?
ReplyDeleteLove your Modern Block for this week!
ReplyDeleteI love those tree blocks and I like the combination of purples on your modern block. From my screen, I think the purples might have sunk too much into the background if you'd hadn't used the others too but, of course they may all look different in person. It's a lovely block whichever :)
ReplyDeleteThe leaves quilt pic doesn't do it justice. I clicked on the link to earlier pics and they're much more representative. It's got such a gentle feel to it. Lovely!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the FMF win - you win have some fun using these prints!
ReplyDeleteOh, love the tree blocks. It's such a fantastic design and looks great in solids. Can't wait to see more of this project, M-R!
Hey.... where's the TGIFF!?? :)
ReplyDeleteI like the colours of purple...my favourite colour....that you used in the Monday Sampler. It's very pretty:)
ReplyDeleteI love everything (as usual) but most "follow the leader". I am a flying geese junkie, will have to try this block.
