Charm About You
By Lucy @ Charm
About You
I'm not a robot! I swear I'm not, but Blogger seems to think I am. The new Blogger word verification widget is driving me crazy. Sometimes I have to try it two or three times before it will accept my answers. I like to leave comments on the blogs I visit, but I'm finding this "improvement" uber annoying and time consuming. If you use it on your blog, please consider removing it because it makes leaving those supportive and encouraging comments we all love unnecessarily difficult.

If you are concerned about spam, don't be. I removed it from my site a few months ago and have had only two Spam comments since, both of which were caught by the Spam filter and were never published on my site. You can always add it back on if you do find you have spam problems, but I doubt you'll need to. Lucy from Charm About You has a more passionate plea than mine, but I'm with her. {Getting down from soapbox}

Anyhoo, not a lot of progress this week, which is probably some of the reason why I'm a little cranky today. Between visitors (yay!), Family Day (yay!), my back (boo!),  and getting ready for a little getaway (hell yay!), there's not been a lot of quilting time. There has been a lot of pinning research going on though. ;)

Modern Block Monday Sampler - This week was the Scrappy Asterisk block by Michelle of City House Studio. Love it!

Wee Spy quilt - One of my friends had a baby boy, named Matthew. I haven't met him yet, but his picture is so adorable! I added the border to one of the Wee Spy tops and started the accompanying bag as Matthew's welcome gift.

Chop Suey - No progress.

FMQQAYGQAL/QAYGFMQQAL - The next two designs are out, but I haven't done them yet.

  2. Love that tulip! Can't wait to see it finished. I have no idea if my word verification is on so let me know if it is! I have been frustrated on some sights where they have it because I can't read them half the time!

  3. I agree. I haven't had the verification process for a couple of years and see no need to get one. I'm getting better at deciphering the new ones but too much hassle and I give up. That said, keep the tulip coming!

  4. Your work is facinating to see how you develop an idea, love the tulip and am amazed at the asterick. So totally agree about the verification for comments -- I too took it off my blog, i just check the comments regularly and in about 6 months have only removed 1 which was blatant sales pitch for enlarging you know what! hahahaha...

  16. Yay for no robots! Glad I'm not the only one who was getting a little weary of it.

    And so glad you commented so I could discover your blog. Can't wait to see the rest of that tulip blossom. Tulips are my very most favorite flower.

    Have a great weekend and happy sewing!

  17. Beautiful work! I agree with you on the word verification! I turned mine off a long time ago and the spam seems to get caught most of the time.

Yay Comments! Thank you for taking the time to post a comment. I usually reply to comments via e-mail. If you are a no-reply blogger, please leave me your e-mail address so I can get back to you. Unfortunately, I've had to disallow Anonymous posts due to spam -- sorry! Cheers!
