Works in Progress Wednesday - May 9, 2012

Before
Another Wednesday already? On the quilt front, this week was largely spent on Micah's growth chart. A LOT of satin stitching! Every single flame is satin stitched. But it's done and I'm so thrilled with it.

New Projects: None, but soon, oh, so soon!

Completed Projects:
Micah's Growth Chart - is done and I'll be sharing it on Friday when I host TGIFF! If you have a recent finish, you are more than welcome to link up.

Current Projects:
Modern Block Monday Sampler - This week I did two blocks. The first is Mondrian by Jamie Hailanen. The second is Sew Mama Sew's January Modern Block of the Month. Love the block, don't love my colour choices.

FMQQAYGQAL/QAYGFMQQAL - Almost done the sashing!

Spiral/Spring seta colour
Wedding quilt
Nine patch colourwash

  1. I know you don't like your colours for the Sew Mama Sew January Modern Block but it reminds me of Joel Dewberry's Deer Valley in Tarragon, behold: http://www.joeldewberry.com/pages/deer-valley-tarragon

Perhaps that could be a little inspiration? I have some I could share if you're interested. ;D

  3. M-R; I like your color choice...I tend to like earthy colors. But really, both blocks are great.

  4. I guess every block can't be a star. The cevron could support. I've always like the Mondrian style.

  5. Most of your work that I have seen has been bold, bright colours, but the subdued colours of this block have a beauty too!
